It’s been awhile

Some good news! An independent London publisher (Eyewear: The Black Springs Press Group imprint) has awarded me a contract for publication of my short story/essay collection entitled Throwing Tarts at the King. This book will launch in 2002 and includes material written back in the 1990s while I was a graduate student at the University of Cincinnati. They have also offered to publish my memoir entitled Who’s to Blame for Me? Girl on the Wrong Side of Forty Comes of Age.

Ginger Moran, author of The Algebra of Snow (2012) and more recently American Queen (2020) says of Throwing Tarts at the King,

“With writing that blends Ray Carver’s bleak working class world with Sedaris-like comedy, Anne Bianco’s debut collection Throwing Tarts At the King includes stories and essays whose characters struggle with loss, class disparities, and time. They are “the walking wounded” and live different lives, from a truck driver to a garbage man to a boy who loses his brother. All fully face their often agonizing struggle for human connection.”

Stay tuned for updates!
